Happened to be searching for a newer version of my family crest - but, I also happen to be a portrait artist, and have worked (in years past) with a tattoo artist for his designs.
This is absolutely stellar. 
Quite possibly the most wonderful design I've ever seen.  Love the history of the "ancestral" Celtic knotwork.  Stunning in its simplicity, yet divine in its complexity.
